Should the Mother of Jesus be a part of our prayer routine?

25 Mar 2022

Is including our Holy Mother Mary and the Rosary into our prayer routine a bad thing or a good thing? There has been and continues to be a lot of division in the Christian ranks concerning this topic, and it was especially noted in articles and opinion pieces when the Pope was planning to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This was completed in March 2022. The same old theological questions arose: Why pray to Mary when we can pray directly to Jesus? Why pray to Mary at all; it isn’t mentioned that we should in the Bible? Some even say that praying to the Virgin Mary is akin to praying to false gods. Some confusion may be due to semantics but most of it was drafted into protestant reformation early in the sixteenth century. Well, I put my faith to work and spent time meditating and praying, and this is what I came up with:

I believe Jesus is the way and the Truth, and the Bible explains it quite well. That said, I am still open to the idea that other prophetic word has been shared with mankind 'since 200 AD' when the New Testament was drafted. In this specific situation, ...the practice of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is closely linked to the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. During the third apparition, on July 13, 1917, Our Lady said to the three little shepherds: “God wishes to establish the devotion to her Immaculate Heart in the world in order to save souls from hell and bring about world peace... In researching Marian apparitions, Our Holy Mother often reflects on such worldly issues. So what does consecrating those nations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary really mean-to me?

In short, joining as many people as we can in prayer on behalf of those two countries, and including Mother Mary's prayer group. Let me explain. When I pray the Hail Mary. I am asking Our Mother Mary 'to pray' with me (or for me)-with both of our prayers going together before Christ. But, it's not just me and Mother Mary praying. There are millions of people in the world and Saints in Heaven who pray 'together with' Mother Mary every day on behalf of all of us. These people pray with Mary because they are 'devoted' to prayer, to Christ, and to helping others (such as for world peace). Prayer in numbers has proven to be a good thing. Such as, If a loved one is sick in the hospital, is it just you praying to Jesus asking for your loved one to get healthy? Not usually. We often ask friends and loved ones to pray, too. Maybe even a prayer tree through church where many people offer to pray for that sick person. There are many documented accounts where prayer in large numbers has had miraculous results. That said, would it not be a good idea to ask Our Mother Mary, the 10,000 Saints in Heaven, and the millions on earth who pray 'with her' daily and have become a part of her heart, to join us in prayer.

This is a supernatural world and sometimes our earth definitions cannot explain things we don't understand. But let us not be confused...We are not asking Mother Mary to save us. Nor to save the world. We are NOT treating her like a false God like some appear to be indicating. We are asking for her, the saints and souls, and all those on earth praying with her...to all pray together on behalf of those nations, WITH ALL OF THOSE PRAYERS BEING DELIVERED TO THE HOLY TRINITY. Yes. We can all pray directly to Jesus. I pray to Jesus daily about numerous things. But in a potential world-ending scenario such as we are experiencing; is it not a good thing to be able to pray with so many others in Heaven and on earth? We are all in this together.

In my personal vision of Mother Mary, there was a large group of people praying upon a hill, hundreds and thousands. Mary was not hovering over them, nor was she standing out in the crowd in glimmering clothing with a crown. She was right in the midst of them, unrecognizable. Neither person to her left or to her right had any idea that they were praying next to Our Holy Mother. If we want to bring up deceit by the evil one, I would say his best trick ever has been to convince so many in the world to not pray the Rosary and to not join in prayers with Our Holy Mother Mary and the Saints. (PS: My vision occurred directly after I had finished praying the Rosary.)

Blessings to you all,
