Ran into Wynnona Judd at the Dallas airport, 2006 when I was headed home from Iraq on R&R. She was a Sweetheart, taking time out for pictures with a few of us soldiers.
Carrie Underwood & Charlie Daniels both made stops at Tallil, Iraq to perform for the troops, 05-06. Unfortunately, at the time, I didn't really know Underwood's music that well. So, I didn't wait in line to get an autograph and picture like hundreds of other did. Now, I kinda of wish I would've. I did stand in the chow hall line right next to Charlie Daniels, and got a few words in. :} Other performers I had the opportunity to see during my tours included R&B singer Estelle, Country singer Aaron Tippen, the Philadelphia Eagle Cheerleaders. . .
You probably recognize these young ladies from a few music videos, including Toby Keith's Honky Tonk Ba Donky Donk. This pic was taken in Qatar in 07 - despite the ridiculous date my camera was trying to tell me.
Lonestar put on a great show at the Zone 6 outdoor theater at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait in November 2011
A half dozen Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders put on a helluva show for the troops in Kuwait in 2011. I was smiling so big because I was afraid if I didn't, they might try to beat me up.
